Thrive
"Thrive is one of the best training workshops I have engaged with."

"The Thrive Programme is a gift: a deceptively simple methodology that puts you back in touch with YOU. It teaches you to use what is already there, the feelings you already have to strengthen the way that you listen to, hold and lead your teams. It helps you to relax into leadership and draw on your whole, feeling self to create a space of real empathy and power. It requires work, belief and time. But it is transformative."

Leadership with Feeling
The next THRIVE live retreat will be
31 March to 04 April 2025

This five-day retreat for women will explore how we can reconsider our feelings and embodied experiences as crucial wisdom to support our leadership and life decisions, rather than our emotional landscapes being a battle ground of burdens and potential burnout.
Using a mixture of embodied and discursive exercises, content inputs, walking and nature connection, THRIVE will unravel resistance and tension and lay the foundations for an approach to creative leadership that is inclusive of our whole selves, and supportive to our purpose, mission and desire to make an impact in the world individually and collectively.
The retreat will involve unlearning habits that toxic cultures of work and social expectation have evolved, and the playful reimagining of how, as women, we can approach life and leadership from a deep trust in all our intelligences (rational/irrational, mental/emotional, metaphysical/embodied) and interconnection with wider webs of collective growth and systemic change.

Location
We will retreat to Pradis, the “valley of prehistory”, in the Italian alps where archeologists have been studying signs of human habitation that dates back 70,000 years. Home to a spectacular cave, magical forested landscapes, rivers, canyons, walkways, pilgrimage routes and heritage-listed villages, this valley will support us with its ancient wisdom and epic views.
We will stay in Casa Balins, a beautiful retreat centre in the village of Zuanes, with options of both single and twin (shared) rooms.

What to expect
Combining research-based content, embodiment practices, systemic and somatic coaching, the curriculum includes:
01
Experiential learning
This is not a theory course. We will work together with a range of applicable tools and embodiment practices that will deepen your connection to your body, intuition and emotional wisdom, and equip you to thrive through leadership and support others more effectively. If you are willing to put in the work, things will change for you during the programme, not once it's over.
03
Conflict transformation
One of the most common reasons we hear for a lack of thriving is conflict and how we approach it. THRIVE offers non-violent strategies to deepen awareness of the underlying causes of conflict, and approaches to transforming conflict into creative possibility.
02
Centring soft skills
Creating change and making a difference in the world means grappling with challenging subjects, experiencing tough emotions and working with others who are feeling a lot too. Our content, tools and practices that offer a trauma-informed and compassionate approach to personal development and team leadership which is the foundation for high-performing, thriving teams.
04
Bespoke
We tailor the course to the real needs of each cohort. We will facilitate a safe and confidential space where you will have the chance to bring real life challenges and workshop them with us and each other (as far as you are comfortable to share). THRIVE is designed to generate real-life solutions to whatever is holding back your thriving in this moment.
Who is Leadership with Feeling for?
Women leaders and changemakers in need of some regeneration, solidarity and realignment with your inner power.
By "changemakers" we mean individuals currently in positions of leadership or senior management, including individuals and freelancers leading projects and teams within larger organisational structures, and people facilitating and building movements of change.

Seeking active and trauma-informed ways to recover from burnout, overwhelm and/or over-extension.
Longing for more embodied approaches to learning and leadership that support connection, healing and authenticity.
Curious about the relationship between personal development and systemic change, and want strategies for creating change from the "inside out".
Looking for the support of women-only safe spaces to explore regenerative leadership that support the experience of female leadership without compromise.

Your Coach
The retreat is led by Amayah Pelegrin, a coach and facilitator with over 15 years experience supporting transformative change in the creative and cultural, environmental, academic and social sectors. She is the creator of THRIVE, a research-based approach for leaders and changemakers to regenerate and thrive, despite the challenges they face in an increasingly uncertain and volatile working landscape. She is the author of Feel Your Feelings, Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded research, that evidences the creativity, wellbeing, confidence and healing that is possible when leaders work with, and not against, their feelings.
