We our delighted that our project "Cultural Power" has been selected as one of five Roots to Reach Global Leadership in Action projects supported by Clore Leadership and British Council.

Following a competitive process, Roots and Reach will enable us to build our networks, strengthen peer learning and make a difference in our local support while contributing to global cultural leadership dialogues.
Our project, Cultural Power, will focus on climate leadership amongst cultural organisations in Trieste and the wider Friuli Venezia Giulia region where we are based. It will give us the opportunity to explore what place-based, citizen-led climate action looks like when it's driven by culture; how artists and cultural organisations are already shaping new futures locally; and how we can collaborate better across different silos and sectors to enable meaningful systemic change and ecological transition.
The project will offer two public events and a three-day leadership development programme between 25 November and 9 December 2025.
In collaboration with our hosts the Museo della Bora, and with insights from Fondazione Santagata per l'Economia della Cultura's 4C report on the cultural sector's engagement with the ecological transition across Italy, we will share experience, develop skills and approaches and network with other sectors to put culture at the heart of local change-making.
We aim to build an informal community of practice that can continue to explore collaborative transition afterwards, and a discussion paper detailing the learning, case studies and insights will be published in English, Italian and Slovenian after the event.
